6. Stop the Music! At the request of the chancellor, the University of Mississippi has shortened it's fight song to keep football fans from chanting "The South will rise again." Critics say the words are a relic from a racist history.

10. Word to the wise: A new campaign, launched by London police, warns girls not to hide or carry their boyfriends' guns. The ads target Black teen girls, who are increasingly convicted of possessing weapons. The problem mirrors the situation in the U.S., where Black women have been incarcerated for low-level participation in their boyfriends' drug dealings.
